EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy uses eye movements, or dual attention stimulation, to decrease the “emotional charge” left from distressing experiences.

Painful experiences often get “stuck” in the brain and result in on-going negative feelings, thoughts, and fears. It is like having a record player in our brain that keeps playing the same song, or negative response, over and over again.

EMDR therapy helps the brain to stop playing these automatic stressful responses and can bring great relief to the client.
